Benny Fiacco... "Brothers of the Road is the band I played in before joining Frostbit Blue. My original idea was to put an Allman Brothers tribute band together. Starting in 1996 "Brothers" played extensively with members Paul Kliment/guitar, vocals, Mike Hayes/guitar, vocals (you might remember him often playing with Frostbit Blue), Jimmy Smith/ drums, vocals and myself, Benny Fiacco /bass, vocals. "Brothers" covered songs by the Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, and also included Brothers of the Road originals.

In August 2000, Brothers of the Road released their first CD containing 4 originals and 2 Allman Brothers covers including an excellent version of Elizabeth Reed. In early 2005, The Brothers of the Road had reuntied to play several shows with John "Valcher" Bletch palying drums.

The CD is blues rock oriented with double guitar leads, slide guitar and good grooves."
